Valentine’s Day is the biggest day in the month of February. Love was in the air. Statistics shows that more couples get engaged on Valentine’s Day than any other day in the year. Wedding season is underway. At Cakes By Shupan, we put all of our marketing efforts into targeting the male population of Lawrenceville as they shop for their significant other. We created a beautifully packaged Valentine’s Day Treat Box that included a dozen gourmet dipped and decorated strawberries, a bottle of dessert wine, chocolate dipped Oreos, Ferrero Rocher and a special note for the recipient. Our survey shows that this was a well-received gift. You can bet that we’ll be offering this again next year.
Other activities during the month of February included a number of special occasion cakes - baby shower, birthdays, wedding consultations, memorials, and gender reveal. Every cake has a story behind it. There was one that really touched me. It was a beautiful story. I’ll let you read the review.

Absolutely love this place! My step kids lost their mom and my husband, and I always throw her a birthday party to celebrate her life. I originally ordered a cake elsewhere and they messed up the entire cake leaving me desperately looking for someone last minute the day of the party and Cakes by Shupan came to the rescue and helped me get the cake to the party within hours of guest arriving! And the cake was just absolutely beautiful, and the taste was so amazing! This will definitely be my go-to for every event that needs a cake or pastries as the center piece! My husband and kids were so overjoyed with the results! Total life saver in a small window of time and I will recommend this to everyone I know! Great quality cake very professional presentation and the prices are very reasonable.

Favorite Cake of the Month
I have been baking Yannis’ birthday cakes for few years. Every year is a different theme. This year it was Sonic The Hedgehog. As I specialize in children’s cakes, designing this cake was so much fun. I really love the colors and design. Designing the face really brought it all together. The flavor of the case was our most popular flavor, vanilla cream cheese cake. The icing was Satin Ice True Blue fondant the pieces on the cake was a mixture of fondant and gum paste. Who knows what next year will bring for Yannis.
